ELBERTON'S DOWNTOWN MEMORIAL DISPLAY
These memorials, produced by members of the Elberton Granite Association, are featured in our downtown Elberton display and in the Winter 2009 issue of the Association's magazine. the Elberton Graniteer. They represent only a small sample of the memorial styles, shapes, and colors available today.
The current display is an interesting and picturesque array of memorials reflecting design ingenuity and master craftsmanship available from the Elberton Granite Industry.
The display, located at the busy intersection of North Oliver and Elbert Streets (highways 17/72 and 77) changes semiannually and is sponsored and maintained by the Elberton Granite Association as a means of showcasing the EGA members' capabilities.
The display was recently renovated. You may read more about the new display by visiting the NEWS link on our home page.
A personal monument is one of mankind's oldest traditions. Historians date some of the earliest monuments to more than 20,000 years.
